Whānau (family) governance.
The whole whānau is involved in running Te Kōhanga Reo, from governance documents to ownership of the Kōhanga Reo
People are valued at all times
Individuals should feel they belong when they become part of the Kōhanga Reo.

Health and well-being
Wellbeing and connection with the environment.

Balance the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional wellbeing of the child, while affirming the values of care and leadership.

Be kind-hearted
Provide a peaceful space for speaking
Protect mokopuna within the environment
Provide healthy and appropriate food
No smoking
No drugs
No alcohol
Honouring our kaupapa Māori framework, we nurture the spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual wellbeing of every mokopuna in our care.
